Do you have a Google My Business account for your business? Google My Business (GMB) is one of Google’s many tools used by businesses and other organizations to manage their online presence in both Google Search as well as Google Maps.
Unsure if you do have a GMB listing, search for your business name on Google, if you find it, check if it has the correct details about your business such as:
- Location
- Business Hours
- Business phone number
Do not forget to claim and verify your business to be able to edit your business details and post news and updates about your business. Claiming your GMB account will also prevent scammers and hackers from modifying details about your business such as MealHi5.
There is a scam that allows other companies to gain access to your Google listing, please don’t fall for it!
MealHi5 is a delivery service that tries to illegally gain access to GMB accounts for restaurants. If you have received an email from MealHi5 that is requesting ownership or access to your business, here are some tips.
