Every kind of website has security risks, and as a website owner, it is your responsibility to keep your site safe and secure. Why? Well, a hacked website can be a lot more than just an embarrassment and a headache. In the worst case, you may have to rebuild your entire website, and in the best case, you and your webmaster will be scrambling to clean your site and make it secure again.

- Sign up for a security service
There are relatively inexpensive website plugins and security services that you can purchase in order to keep an eye on your website and clean it when there a hack or some other malware found.
Some hosts like GoDaddy have their own security package. WordPress websites have several plugins such as WordFence. You can sign up for a paid service and here’s a list of them (we have had success with a popular service called Sucuri).
